Absences from weekly classes

If you have paid the semester fee and miss a class (or if a class is cancelled due to a public holiday), you are entitled to attend to a compensation class. You can make up for the missed or cancelled class by attending another weekly class.

Please do not enroll in the compensation class via myClub; instead, use the specific form provided for this purpose. You must bring the completed compensation class form with you and hand it to the teacher at the start of the class. Forms are available on the studio notice board, and a PDF version is provided below. If you do not have access to a printer, or if the class takes place somewhere other than our studio, you may write the required information on a plain sheet of paper. However, please ensure that all necessary details are included.

Conditions

  • Only those who have paid the semester fee are eligible to compensate for missed classes.
  • Missed classes can only be compensated during the same season (Autumn 2026 – Spring 2027).
  • Future absences can also be compensated for in advance.
  • Classes scheduled during autumn and winter break weeks cannot be compensated for as they have already been factored into the semester fees price.
  • Compensation classes must be equal to or shorter in duration than the missed class; for example, an absence from a 60-minute class can be compensated for by attending another 60-minute class.
  • You can only compensate for your absences in courses that are not full.
  • VKTY reserves the right to charge the dancer for any extra classes if compensation classes have been taken in violation of these terms.

Absences from coaching group’s rehearsals

For coaching groups, individual absences must be reported to the group coach according to the instructions given by the coach.

As a general rule, classes are not held during autumn and winter break weeks. Classes missed during these breaks cannot be compensate for, as this has already been factored into the fees. If classes are cancelled because the dance school is closed—for instance, due to a public holiday—VKTY does not organize specific compensation class. Instead, missed classes can be compensated for by attending a weekly hobby class of your choice, subject to standard compensation policies regarding age and skill level. If a class for a coaching group must be cancelled due to the teacher’s absence, the aim is to reschedule it as a compensation class later in the season.
