VKTY will start a new whacking showcase group in autumn 2026! The group is coached by the internationally renowned and respected Axelle Munezero, whose intensive courses and last autumn’s longer whacking course received really positive feedback.

The group practices once a week on Mondays from 7-8:30 PM at VKTY’s studio in Myyrmäki. Practices start on Monday, August 31st and the training season is expected to last until June 13th. The group is aiming for competitions in spring 2027, and Axelle will decide together with the group which competitions they will participate in.

We are looking for 9 dancers. The group will be committed to the group’s practices and activities for the entire season.

The price for the entire training season is €670 + VKTY membership fee €30. The payment is divided into monthly installments and an individual payment plan can be made if necessary (e.g. more payment time, larger installments, etc.) The price does not include garments, travel expenses, or entry fees to events.

How to apply

Fill in your information on the application form. Or if the applicant is under 18, fill in the contact information of the guardian.

Add a link to the application video. Upload the video to, for example, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or hidden on YouTube. Make sure that the video has the necessary rights. Do not use file sharing sites or programs whose links expire.

Video instructions: film yourself freestyling. Dance to the song Rufus & Chaka Khan – Any Love. Use the whacking technique and you can also move freely and try to bring out your best sides as a dancer. The video should be 45 seconds – 2 minutes long. Film from the front, make sure that the music sounds good in the video and that the video quality is good. You / the dancer must be fully visible in the video.
