Starting out

Check out our schedule and pick a dance class you’d like to try. You can try a class from each course for free once per dance season.

Trial class for free

For hobby classes, it is possible to try out VKTY’s classes free of charge once (1) per dance course per season. You must always enroll in the trial class in advance through myClub. Participating in a trial class does not require paying the membership fee. VKTY reserves the right to limit the number of trial classes.

Enrolling in a trial class in myClub:

You can create an account by clicking the ‘Register’ button located in the upper right corner. After that, make sure also to enroll in the course you wish to try.

In myClub, you must always enroll in the entire course, ALSO for the trial class.

Options after the trial class

A) IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE THE COURSE AFTER THE TRIAL CLASS:

→ You are already enrolled in the course, so we do not need a separate notification. You will receive the course invoice soon.

B) IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE THE COURSE AFTER THE TRIAL CLASS:

→ Send us an email to cancel before the next class (i.e., within one week of the trial class) at toimisto@vantaankatutanssi.fi.

Otherwise, this will be considered a full enrollment in the course, and you will receive the course invoice. Also, if you attend the same course for a second time, it will be considered an enrollment in the course.

Instructions for enrollment

Enrollment is always done per course for the entire semester (Fall or Spring semester), regardless of whether you attend the class with a serial ticket, anytime or a semester fee.

Enrollment in the hobby courses is done through the myClub. MyClub account is always personal, but parents can manage the account on behalf of a minor.

Go to vkty.myclub.fi/login.If you do not have a myClub account, set up an account according to the instructions and create a VKTY member account at the same time.

You can register for classes after you have created a myClub account.

You can register for all courses under “Registrations”.
Select the dance course you want to attend and click “Register”.
After this, you will see the course events (classes) in your myClub calendar.

Ticket types

Semester fee

By default we will charge dancers with the semester fee. However, if you wish, you can attend classes with a 5x or 10x serial ticket or purchase an Anytime card.

Serial ticket and Anytime

If you would like to purchase a serial ticket or Anytime card instead of a semester fee, please send an email to toimisto@vantaankatutanssi.fi after your trial class. Otherwise, we will charge you with the semesterfee.

The semester fee is cheaper (calculated price per class) than serial tickets. Picking up the serial ticket from the studio will be agreed separately. Please show the serial ticket to the teacher when you arrive at the class, and the teacher will mark one time used. We also track the number of particiations via myClub.

Single tickets are not sold for classes.

Paying for the dance class

All dancers must pay the membership fee.

We invoice the semester fee/serial ticket/anytme and the membership fee as separate invoices after the semester starts. The invoices do not need to be paid before participating.

You will receive invoices both on your MyClub member account and in your email (check your spam folder). The payment period for invoices is 14 days and the entire course is invoiced all at once.

General information

Arriving

Studio VKTY is located at Liesitori 1 (2nd floor of IsoMyyri Shopping Center). The studio door is locked, but you can enter during opening hours by knocking or using the door code given to members. You can find the addresses of other locations on our website.

Roll call

The teacher will do a roll call in the beginning of the classa based on enrollments on myClub. The serial ticket must be shown to the teacher, who will mark it as used once.

Clothing

Suitable clothing for exercising, a water bottle and indoor shoes (clean sneakers, trainers, etc.). You don’t need shoes for showjazz classes.

Accompanying child’s class

Unfortunately, the dance class is only for the dancers, but parents can wait in the hallway/lobby  during the class. The parents of the children aged 4 to 6 years old can ask the teacher if they could come  for a trial class to support their child at the beginning of the class if needed (max. 15min).
