Children’s Training Groups
More purposeful pursuits through joy and play
Children’s coaching groups practice dance with a more goal-oriented approach than in a weekly class. However, the exercises emphasize learning dance through joy and play in a way appropriate for the age group. Groups can participate in competitions, reviews, and various performance events.
Rugratz
The children’s coaching group Rugratz is a street dance group for dancers under the age of 13, where they mainly practice hip-hop and sometimes also other street dance styles. The group participates annually in, among other things, the children’s IKM competitions and, if possible, other competitions and auditions.
The group is suitable for children who have been practicing dance for some time and who want to train purposefully, perform and be part of a group. Of course, there is more to the training than just dancing, but the main focus is on practicing common choreographies and freestyle. However, the training is done in a child-oriented way, focusing small wins and the joy of dancing. The group is being coached by Noora Moberg and Taija (B-girl Taya) Hinkkanen on season 2025-2026.
Supernova
The children’s show dance coaching group Supernova is intended for children and young people born in 2011-2016, i.e. who will be 14 years old or younger in 2026. The group practices show dance techniques while developing essential show dance skills such as balance, stretching, muscle work and flexibility.
The group is suitable for children who have practiced show dance before and who are interested in practicing several times a week with the same coaches and group. The group often participates in competitions and auditions in both Autumn and Spring. The group will be coached by Iiris Vainio and Pauliina Kyttä in the 2025-2026 season.
